Most definitely! There has been a shortage of drivers since 2005 and that is only increasing over time! As drivers reach retirement ages and the industry continues to grow, the demand does too! There are a lot of job opportunities in trucking and our job placement services and carrier partnerships will help you get hired before you even begin training!
You're in luck! We have great relationships with trucking companies and many of them are looking to hire our grads even before they enroll! Not sure who you want to work for? Attend one of the recruiter events our carriers put on and meet with their recruiter, ask questions and really get to know the trucking companies. Check our event calender for upcoming events each month!

Before being granted a commercial driver’s license, or CDL, it’s necessary to undergo CDL testing. Tests are performed at a 3rd party CDL testing facility, like Apex. Having Apex as a 3rd party CDL testing facility allows students to take their CDL skills test behind the wheel of truck they've trained on for weeks! This allows them to be fully comfortable and confident on their journey to get their CDL licenses.

The Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) Mandate has recently been enacted by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT). Its purpose is to establish a uniform set of requirements for all truck driving schools, which helps to train safer drivers. ELDT certified schools meet the requirements set for an acceptable balance of classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training. For those looking to get their CDL, they must make sure they attend a school with this certification, or else they will be unable to take the CDL exam at the DMV.
The ELDT Mandate will not impact your CDL standing as long as you received your CDL before February 7, 2022. The same goes for any CDL endorsements (like passenger, hazardous materials, or bus driver) you received before this date. Additionally, if you earned your CLP before February 7, 2022 and renewed it or got your CDL before the CLP expired, you do not need to worry about the new mandate.

GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). More information about education benefits offered by VA is available at the official U.S. government Web site at https://www.benefits.va.gov/gibill.
