Class A CDL grads from Apex CDL Institute have the opportunity to drive for the United States’ largest food industry redistributor right after graduating. DOT Foods is a less-than-truckload (LTL) company that delivers across America with its fleet of over 1,300 trucks. DOT Driver Pay

DOT driver pay varies with experience, but full-time drivers earn an average of $90,000 each year. Drivers get paid for every part of the job, including mileage, delivering products, sick days, holidays, making pickups, etc. DOT also pays student drivers $750 per week while they go through orientation and training.

Hometime

DOT Foods guarantees drivers will be home at least two days a week if they want. Drivers will know their entire routes before leaving. This means they will know exactly when they will be home each week. This is one major perk of driving for DOT Foods.

Modern Equipment

DOT drivers are set up in late-model Volvo conventionals that include stand-up sleepers, power inverters, cab and bunk heaters, automatic transmissions, and cruise/engine brakes. Trucks are well maintained by in house mechanics and have regular wash schedules, so drivers can feel confident in their trucks.
